Funeral Law
The Purpose of this course/lecture is to review Chapter 497, of the Florida Statues that went into effect on October 1, 2005. Chapter 497 sets forth very specific definitions applicable to the Chapter as well as the funeral service profession included but not limited to Funeral Directors, Embalmers, Pre Need Agents, Direct Disposers, Crematory Operators and Cemetery Personel. Each member of the profession must have a firm understanding of the rules and terminology as not to confuse or unintentionally mislead the consumer. This course will begin with a review of the most common terms and definitions used and misused in our industry.
