Bio Medical Waste
This involves the necessary training that is required by the state (Florida) health department. The FAC 64E-16 regulates all bio medical waste. Storage, labeling, methods of sanitation, transportation and definitions are discussed, 3 credits ($27.00).

HIV/AIDS-Communicable Disease
Includes information on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard CFR.1910-1030. All information in specifically for the funeral industry, 2 credits ($30.00), 1 credit ($15.00)

FTC
Focuses on pricing merchandise and general price list, 3 credits ($27.00).

OSHA
This meets the required annual training and discusses all of the most current information. Also informs the funeral home of what is required for compliance, 3 credits ($27.00).

Record Keeping
Discusses the required records that must be kept and how to maintain them, 1 credit ($9.00).

Bloddborne Pathogens
Outlines some bacteria that exist and are resistant to medication. Stresses importance of sanitation in the preproom, thus reducing your risk of exposure, 1 credits ($9.00).

Formaldehyde
Formaldehyde has been classified a probable human carcinogen by the EPA. This course explains the precautionary measures to take and defines risks associated while embalming, 3 credits ($27.00).

Hazard Communication
This course explains how to maintain MSDS's (Material Safety Data Sheets), proper labeling for chemicals verbal and visual hazards and how to minimize risk regarding occupational exposure, 1 credits ($9.00).

Funeral Law
The Purpose of this course/lecture is to review Chapter 497, of the Florida Statues that went into effect on October 1, 2005. Chapter 497 sets forth very specific definitions applicable to the Chapter as well as the funeral service profession included but not limited to Funeral Directors, Embalmers, Pre Need Agents, Direct Disposers, Crematory Operators and Cemetery Personel. Each member of the profession must have a firm understanding of the rules and terminology as not to confuse or unintentionally mislead the consumer. This course will begin with a review of the most common terms and definitions used and misused in our industry. This will give the funeral professional general knowledge of what the course/lecture will entail. 3, 2, 1 credits. Please call for pricing.

Unethical decisions in business can have the same negative impact as unethical personal decisions. These unethical decisions can be decisions made about financial matters, prep room concerns, cemetery, competitors, pre need sales, trusting issues or any other funeral business concern. 3, 2, 1 credits. The cost of this service will depend on the number of funeral directors and exposed staff members ( in Florida, non-licensed staff members which are exposed to the deceased, will have to have the HIV-Communicable Disease course).
